A4U Awards - 5th June: Park Lane Hotel, London
At 5pm on Thursday 5th June, the dgmAffiliates team descended on the Met Bar for some snazzy cocktails with a few affiliates to start the evening. The evening started with a bang and we had a good turn out. Guests included Frostie, Kieron, Elaine and Dave, Neil McDermott and of course Mr Socialite himself, Rob Berrisford. In addition to this we had 2 of our 3 competition winners there - Emma Pearson and Steve Dawson.
From the Met Bar, we all stumbled down the road to the Park Lane Sheraton Hotel to be greeted with a further 300 Affiliates, Agencies, Networks and Merchants and of course, the obligatory welcoming drinks.
Half an hour of “networking” and then to our seats where Matt Wood introduced everyone to the evening’s proceedings. From there the hilarious Michael McIntyre took over and got the whole room roaring with laughter whilst presenting the 16 awards.
Unfortunately this year we weren’t nominated for any awards but it was good to see some of our good friends receiving rightfully deserved awards. The full list of winners and highly commended (runners up to you and me) are listed here.
The Awards were followed by an after party, care of Affiliate Window where guests were treated to 2 more free drinks (with a valid boarding pass) and a 5 minute stint at an oxygen station. We would put pictures on from this but we look more like we’re in hospital on a drip than enjoying Orange scented oxygen to ensure no hangover on Friday - not convinced it worked from looking round the office!
The evening was a great success and it was good to see lots of faces, both old and new, enjoying themselves.
If you didn’t manage to get a ticket this year, we highly recommend that you get a ticket next year to enjoy the fun for yourself. In the meantime, here are some of our pictures for you to chuckle at.
