Following feedback from affiliates, dgm are happy to release an update to the affiliate link interface. The changes are designed to help improve the ease with which affiliates can pick up links. We’d appreciate feedback on these changes, so please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions.
- All links within dgmPro now have a clickable ‘Destination Page’, which allows you to click through to the destination page you will be directing through to if you pick up that link. As dgmPro is built on content units we can provide multiple links per campaign, so this will help affiliates decide which link they want to use.
- All links in the HTML dgmAffiliates provide now have encoded ampersands, which will help affiliates to make valid XHTML pages.
- The Network ID* for a link can now be dynamically added into the HTML code that the affiliate picks up by entering the Network ID into the field.
- Text links also allow affiliates to change the displayed hyperlink text in the same manner.
- Links now display within a text box to help ensure accurate copy/pasting of the link code.
- There is a ‘Select All’ button to highlight all the text for you.
- Banners are now distinguished as being Banner (Standard gif, jpeg, etc), Flash or HTML banners in the banner list.
- Standard Banners now feature separate text boxes for the destination URL and image URL so you can add these into your site manually.
* Network IDs are link labels. They allow affiliates to label all traffic going through individual links so affiliates can distinguish where sales and/or traffic are coming from. For example, affiliates can label all links on their main page ‘Home_page’ to distinguish the sales and clicks driven from that URL against other pages. Loyalty sites use this feature to distinguish between members and PPC affiliates tend to use it to identify the keywords that have converted to sale.
